What is Kipling exactly?
Good question. Read on and it will soon be answered.
In 1987 three friends in Antwerp, Belgium decided that women needed high quality bags that were feminine, fashionable and interesting. They then created a line of casual and vibrant bags that were affordable and functional.
The brand was called Kipling, after Rudyard Kipling, author of the Jungle Book. Very soon the bags were part of women’s lives all over the world.
What’s so special about these bags anyway?
Kipling bags are awesome. They are made out of a fabric called crinkle nylon which is waterproof and very easy to clean. The bags come in really nice designs and bold colours, and lots and lots of compartments.
That’s not what’s so unique about these bags. Each bag (excluding purses and wallets) comes with a matching monkey that can suck its own thumb. Each one is apparently named after one of Kipling’s employees all over the world.
So where can I buy one?
